Sunday 20k Cycle 27/5/12

I have to say it was great to see so many turn out for our first 20k of the summer. Both the young and ever so slightly older turned out for the trip to Portrun. Thanks to John we had a supply of cold drinks and Jaffa cakes to refuel when we got there. While the younger cyclists took an energetic break and even cycled round a bit, some of the rest of us enjoyed the chance to either stand upright or relax at one of the benches. It was a glorious sunny day and an ideal time to get back up on a bike for a relaxing trip. The pace challenged some a bit but no one got so far ahead that anyone felt left out. I suspect there were some who had not been on a bike since last summer. Still everyone kept up on the return to Kilteevan. I would like to say thank you to everyone for helping to make it such an enjoyable outing. Let’s hope we can do the same again this Sunday coming. There are lots more out there that did not make the trip this Sunday and maybe we can encourage them to dust off their bikes for the next cycle. Apologies for the quality of the photos I was just a bit knackered. I will get them up over the next few days. Once again Thank you to everyone who came along I hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.
